"KARMANYEVADHIKARASTHE MA PALESHUKADHACHANA"

This is a verse from Srimadh Bhgavath Geetha. There is a popular belief that Sri Krishna desires every one to lead a life of a saint and renounce the materials pleasures in the world. The true intent is not that.

He declares that, Arjuna people have the right only in performance of an act and not on its fruits (results). Does it mean to say that they have to renounce the result ?. No what he wish to convey is only to renounce the right on that result. The right to do an act is in our domain the right of delivering the result is in the purview of Sri Krishna himself. How to give, How much to give, when to give, where to give and whether to give are rest with in the ambit of his decision.
